Parkgate Society, located at 3625 Banff Court, is a nonprofit community-based organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of residents east of Lynn on The North Shore Edge. Operating since 1983, Parkgate Society offers a wide range of services and programs for families, youth, seniors, and individuals of all ages and abilities, creating strong connections and support systems in the community.
As a key partner of Parkgate Community Centre, Parkgate Society plays a major role in running programs, services, and community events, including their much-loved Parkgate Community Day — an annual celebration that brings neighbours together with fun, food, and entertainment for all ages.
Special Features
Parkgate Society also operates the licensed childcare centre within Parkgate Community Centre, as well as the childcare facility at the new Lynn Creek Community Recreation Centre under a lease agreement with the District of North Vancouver, expanding their family and youth services to meet growing community needs.
Their programs include family drop-ins, youth leadership, seniors' support groups, social programs, and recreation activities designed to foster connection, wellness, and community spirit. Support for seniors ranges from social and recreational activities to one-on-one support services, ensuring older adults stay active and engaged. Youth and family programs provide safe, inclusive spaces for connection, learning, and fun.
